This piece is one of my favorite pieces ever. "Old age is not for sissies", the saying goes, and it's true. I wanted to express the pain of what it's like to age. Her scream is timeless throughout human kind. It is a difficult piece to look at but in making her and allowing the image to be exposed, some of the pain is released. We tend to push away painful things thus not allowing the healing to take place. I hope to open some compassionate space for our aging through this little figure.
