"Bridging Two Worlds (2005)"
Fired coiled earthenware, oxides and paint
10" L, 14" W, 16" H
Gaps are sometimes hard to bridge. I struggle with this dilemma in my life as a Native American living in the United States, as a woman in a man’s world, as a half-bred sitting between my parents, as a traditionalist living in a the modern world. This piece is about trying to connect both sides and acknowledging the struggle and effort to do so.
