One Step is about moving forward during times of uncertainty. When the world seems so unclear and shaky; moving in little steps, one at a time, is the only thing I've found to get me through. The single feather she is placing in her hair is symbolic of the achievements we make in our lives. I wanted acknowledgment for the little steps that she has made by giving her a feather for her hair. It's honoring the small things in life, because it is those small things that make life possible.
